Cinematography for Directors: The Theory of Camera Lenses 102

In this continuation workshop of Cinematography for Directors: The Theory of Lenses 101 you will learn the theory of how different lenses and camera movement work in tandem with each other to help communicate your vision and emotionality of the scene you’re trying to direct. Your final project will be to write a monologue for a character that you have been workshopping to create a shot list, storyboard and photo board using the lens theory and camera movement elements you’ve learned.
*Cinematography for Directors Workshop Series Level 1 & 2 are prep workshops for Cinematography for Directors Workshop Series Level 3, an in person 3 day lab where Directors will be paired with a professional Cinematographer, a script, camera, and a set of lenses filming the scene that they've crafted in the two previous workshops. Final scenes will be screened in front of a panel of industry professionals and given feedback.
